Warming Centers
In case of power outages, we want to remind residents that Sussex County Libraries (main and branches), the Sparta Public Library, the Sussex County Division of Social Services offices, and the Montague Municipal Building have been designated as warming centers and charging stations. They are available during normal working hours. They are closed on holidays.
The Sparta Police Station and Sparta VFW are designated as 24/7 warming stations. These facilities are open evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Additionally, if you are without power, please feel free to come to the Frankford Municipal Building during normal working hours to warm up and/or charge your electronic devices!
Kindly remember to check on your elderly neighbors and those who are homebound.
Sussex County has provided a list of Warming Centers/Charging stations on the Sussex County website.
