Earth Day Clean Up

Earth Day clean up at Culver Lake and Lake Owassa

April 27, 8:30 a.m.
Meet at the Nornanoch Clubhouse, 125 E. Shore Culver Road
Join us for the second annual Visual Litter Survey and Culver Lake and Lake Owassa Earth Day Clean Up. Non-profit organizations may sign up with Clean Communities by contacting Diane Brauchle at frankfordcleancommunity@gmail.com. Residents of Culver Lake and Lake Owassa may signup through Eventbrite. This Earth Day event is presented by the Frankford Township Clean Communities Program and the The Greater Culver Lake Watershed Conservation Foundation. Refreshements provided. Dress appropriately.

Spring Clean-Up with Clean Communities

Spring clean-up is underway with the Frankford Township Clean Communities. This is a great way for non-profit organizations, sport teams, PTAs, senior groups, etc. to earn money for the group. Contact Diane Brauchle at frankfordcleancommunity@gmail to schedule your spring clean up!


Poll Workers Needed

The day is long, but you will earn $200 for each election. New Poll Worker training classes are scheduled for March 29, March 30, April 9, April 11, April 23, and April 27. If you are interested, please call the Sussex County Board of Elections @ 973-579-0950 x 4 or send an email to SussexPWInfo@gmail.com.

Update to NJ Fire Code

Effective January 1, 2019 updates to the NJ Fire Code are in effect. These include updates concerning smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, and fire exinguishers. Click here to read the notice from the Frankford Township Fire Prevention Office.

Attention Residents: Keep Snow on Your Property, Not on the Township Roads

Residents are reminded that the snow from your property should not make its way to the Township roadways. Please make every effort to keep your snow on your property. In order to keep our roads safe during inclement weather, there is a Township ordinance (Section 16.2) that has been in effect singce 1994, prohibiting the placement of snow, ice, leaves, or other materials upon the municipal streets of Frankford Township. 911 Numbering of Houses and Lots

To assist our volunteer fire fighters and rescue squad memebers, it is a requirement of our township ordinance that your home properly displays your house humber. Please make every effort to comply so our responders can find your home in case of emergency. Thank you. Click here to view the flier of 911 specs.


****ATTENTION FRANKFORD TOWNSHIP VOTERS****

Districts #2 and #3 Polling Locations Change

If you are a registered voter in DISTRICT #2 - Frankford Township Municipal Building (formerly the American Legion) you will now vote at the CULVER LAKE CLUBHOUSE located on East Shore Culver Road (actual address is #2 8th Street). This is effective immediately.

If you are a registered voter in DISTRICT #3 - Frankford Township School Trailer you will now vote at the Frankford Township MUNICIPAL BUILDING located at 151 US Highway 206. This is effective immediately.

Voters in Districts #1 and #4 remain UNCHANGED. District #1 will vote at the Frankford Township Municipal Building and District #4 will vote at the Frankford Firehouse No. 2 on Pelletown Road.

The changes will be reflected on your sample ballot, and a change of polling location card should have been mailed to you. If you have any questions, please call the Municipal Clerk's Office during regular business hours (8:30AM to 4:00PM) at 973-948-5566.

Frankford Seniors

The Frankford Seniors Club meets the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at the Frankford Plains Methodist Church Fellowship Hall at 99 Plains Road, Augusta. New members are always welcome to join. You must be 55 years of age or older. For more information, please contact the Municipal Clerk's office at 973-948-5566.
