Each license and tag shall be renewed annually, provided, however, that a dog owner shall have the option of obtaining a three-year license. A one-year license shall require proof of rabies vaccination with an expiration date of November 1st or later of the current licensing year. A three-year license shall require proof of rabies vaccination extending over the three-year term of the license, with an expiration date of November 1st or later of the third year of the licensing term.

Only one license shall be required in any licensing year for any dog owned in New Jersey, and such license issued by any other municipality shall be accepted by the Township as evidence of compliance with this section.

Dog license forms are due in January and are required for all dogs that reside in Frankford Township. Late fees accrue February 1st, and continue each and every month thereafter. License renewals are mailed to current dog owners in late November.
